石井かほり Kaori Ishii

聖心女子大学哲学部哲学科卒。文部科学省、文化庁にて非常勤公務員として勤めながら、シナリオ講座、映画美学校に通い、在学中に製作した短編映画『おばあちゃま　 ごめんね』が大阪阿倍野ヒューマンドキュメンタリー映画祭2005にて入賞。日本で二人しかいない日本最古の型染め技法・木版染め職人の仕事と生きざまを記録した映画『めぐる』の製作を機に役所を退職。一年半の期間を経て完成させた。本作は都内の劇場で三週間ロードショーされた後、全国の映画祭や自主上映で度々上映され、アメリカ、フィリピン、中国、カナダ、タイでの招待上映も実現。監督デビュー後に羽田澄子監督の助監督を一年間務めた。以降、ドラマの演出、企業PR映像演出、ＣＭ演出、またはトークイベントなど活動範囲を広げている。2011年には初の長編ドキュメンタリー作品映画『ひとにぎりの塩』を完成させ、シネマコンプレックスでの上映を果たし、映像に留まらず、劇場で塩やしおサイダーを販売し、映画を切り口に新たな地域活性を目指した。

After graduating the University, I worked at the Ministry of Culture and Education. During my working, I entered the Film School of Tokyo and my first short documentary "Sorry my grandma" won the prize at Osaka Abeno Human Documentary Film Festival 2005. I have started the documentary "Chain of Life-The Artistry of Mokuhanzome Kimono-" depicting the Japan's oldest dyeing technique. It was screened for 3weeks in Tokyo or invited to many film festivals in Japan as well as in the United States, Philippines, China, Canada and Thailand. Through the experience of assistant director to Dir. Sumiko Haneda who is one of the famous documentary filmmakers in Japan. I joined some TV dramas or web dramas as the director. I completed a long documentary film named 'A Handful of Salt' in 2011. Its theme is the Japanese Salt made by the oldest technique in Japan. It was shown at the theater of United Cineas in Kanazawa and Toyosu for 3weeks. And it was official invited the film festival of PolePole Iwaki in Fukushima in 2012.
